Elztec Water fully automatic iron-manganese filtration systems oxidize and remove dissolved iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide, which are frequently found in well and groundwater. It permanently prevents water from turning yellow-brown, leaving rust stains on surfaces, and having a metallic taste.
Product Description
Iron and manganese filters operate on the principle of oxidizing dissolved (ferrous) iron and manganese in the water into solid particles using special catalytic minerals (Birm, Manganese Greensand, etc.). These oxidized and precipitated particles are retained in the filter bed, completely clarifying your water and securing your plumbing and all machinery in contact with water against clogging and rusting.
The system is managed by time- or flow-controlled automatic valves without the need for human intervention. The oxidized impurities accumulated in the filter bed are discharged into the drain as a result of the backwash process, which the system automatically performs at periods you set, expanding the bed. Thus, the mineral bed continuously regenerates itself, ensuring the system operates with its first-day efficiency for many years.
