Elztec Water mix-bed systems allow you to obtain ultra-pure water (deionized water) by removing all ions in the water through the homogeneous mixing of cationic and anionic resins within the same tank. It is the ideal solution for sensitive industrial processes where conductivity must be close to zero (below 0.1 µS/cm).

Product Description

Mix-bed (mixed bed) deionization systems operate on the principle that all cations and anions dissolved in water pass through a cationic and anionic resin mixture, replacing them with hydrogen (H+) and hydroxide (OH-) ions. They are typically placed at the outlet of Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems for sensitive polishing purposes, maximizing the degree of purity by eliminating all minerals in the water.

They are particularly used in sectors where water purity is critical, such as the pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics, electronics industry, laboratories, power plants (boiler feed water), and the glass industry. When the resin reaches saturation, it can be regenerated on-site using acid and caustic via automated systems depending on the project scale, or quickly replaced with a new one as cartridge/bulk resin.
